i know they had issues several years ago with the beds not being properly aligned. I took my truck in today to have a topper put on it. Once the topper was on the truck we don’t lose that it did not align perfectly, we noticed that the bed was crooked about 2 inch wide gap on driver side and 1.5 inch gap on passenger side. Has anyone else had this problem before? Is it an easy fix? What could’ve caused it? The truck only has 12,000 miles on it. I’m taking it to the dealer tomorrow. They act like they did ever heard of this before.

you can do it at home. loosen bed bolts, shift bed, measure, tighten down and done.

It's pretty common. Sounds like it's a few minute fix if you want to attempt, but dealership will take care of it.

9 out of 10 beds are crooked, and 10/10 bumpers are on crooked... I was a lucky one of the 10, my bed was on straight. Not the bumper.

Since you got a good answer in the second post, there is no need to repeat it, so I will just put up some pics of the line supervisors for bumper and bed alignment.

If its that far off the cab has to be aligned, too- measure the distance between the frame and rocker pannel edges on both sides of the cab. My dealer took it to a Toyota Collision shop and gave me a free rental car while they fixed it under warranty. I had to take the top off so the regional guy would approve the fix.

    I mean… it’s a Ford, you don’t care
My dad’s truck had the same issue. It was messed up from the factory. Dealer took it off and straightened it out. Apparently it happened on a lot of trucks. My dad looked at every one on the Lot and the show room, and all of them were off in some fashion
