The Walking Dead Show vs. Comics (Heavy Spoilers likely)

Ive been trying to think of who they could use to take his spot if they wanted to continue that storyline. They swap characters all the time. Michonne replaced Andrea as Rick’s love interest, Carol has replaced Michonne as Eziekiel’s... etc etc...

The fact that they stuck to that storyline of Carl and Negan forming a weird relationship though makes it hard to just drop someone else in. I think they may skip the whisperers in the show and jump ahead to this next storyline from the books of the “new world order” if the helicopter is of significance. The whisperer storyline is just more of the same group vs group war and giant herd shuffling nonsense.

There are a few characters I wouldn’t mind seeing their head on top of a spike though...

 

I bet they use Enid to replace Carl cause it's a thing now to have more female leads in place of male characters.

 

Or maybe Daryl

 

Was this new group of three,introduced in the show last night, also in the comic ?

 

Man, are they already introducing the safe zone from the newest chapter?

 

I was wondering if it was NWO but it’s way different than the intro from the books, but it was a lady in a white dress/suit so maybe...would be weird timing, especially with the war with negan still ongoing and lack of whisperers

 

Maybe they are saving the Whisperers for a spin-off.

Edit : Has Eugene talked to anybody on the HAM radio yet? I'm not caught up on the show.

 

I don’t think so, his story deviated from the book. Not sure anyone has communicated via radio with unknown groups yet...

 

That's true, cause he was manufacturing a shit ton of ammo for the war before he got caught and then eventually escaped.

 

When Gabriel and the Dr. stumbled upon the station, I thought it would play some part. Maybe saving it for later.

I'm not much ahead in the comic, just have heard people talking.

 

I still have not read past Compendium III, but I was talking to a coworker today who met Kirkman at a Comicon. Kirkman reveled to him that Negan rapes Carl in the comic, which may be the reason the show killed off Carl.

 

I saw some news that Shane is returning, possible in just some flashbacks but loved his character on the show.

 

Maybe Shane, Lori and Carl flashback.

I’m a little behind on the book. I think the last I read Michonne found her daughter, but I’ll catch up eventually...

I’m finally caught up on the show, which was quite the process to say the least. I’m trying to figure out what happens at the fair. The big names got taken out in the book, like Eziekel. Trying to decide who get stuck on a pole on the show. It will need to be someone big, could be eziekel but they’ve switched characters around so much I’m not sure his character loss would have much impact right now. They just offed Jesus which was a big kill. Someone like Daryl could be next...

 

Did the show start up again Sunday night, or is it this coming Sunday night???

 

I ‘heard’ this from a guy who is into the whole Comicon thing, that’s what he told me as in the prior post so take it for what it’s worth.

Saw the new episode. not too bad actually, i didnt mind it. im not into the comics but i dont mind reading what happens in the comics vs show. do you think well see rick or Maggie ever again? in the comics did maggie run off cause she wasnt paid enough? lol

 

I think they’ve said Rick will be back a long ways down the road in eventual movies? Idk...

The show could’ve handled Maggie better. She just disappeared lol.
