Long bed stock height

i heard longbed stock height was 1/2” than shortbed stock height. Can anyone confirm or share a link please. Im doubting my lift measurements but stupid me, forgot to measure before numbers. Anyways 5100s all around with 888 up front and 2.5 block in back. Running on 265/70/17. Pic of before and after lift

 

I've read that 3rd gens are 1 inch higher than second gens and that is why they only recommend 2 inches of lift on 3rd and 3 inches on 2nd gens.

 

I really dont see the logic as 3” on stock either on 3rd or 2nd really dont have anything to do with eachother. The 3rd will just sit an inch higher than the 2nd

 

Measured my long bed all the way around sitting next to my buddies short bed and they were the same.

 

Some pictures make the DCLB look too low to the ground for it's length but that's just shadows and optical trickery. In person DCLB stock height looks perfect.
