Installing some LED bulbs but the “cooling” fins make the bulbs longer than stock making it too long to just “plug and play”. Fogs and passager side were simple but driver side seems like it is going to require me to pull the entire housing out just to swap a bulb. You guys know what all that entails (cluster f with grill and bumper). Anyone have any ideas? Will post a picture tomorrow when it’s light out.

Would delete the thread but can’t figure out how on iPhone. Took some “finagling” but finally got it in.

Looks good, glad you got it in there. How's the throw? As I understand is not nearly as far since the housing wasn't created for leds.

LED bulbs in a non-led housing is worthless. They’re bright but just dont have much useable light.i have actual LED lights on my frieghtliner at work and they totally suck ass at nite when its raining, gives off little if any light at all. Dangerous!

Very true. In general, HID still blows LEDs out of the water on width and distance (the two main things you want in a headlight.) Maybe one day, but the tech is just not there yet.

Hopefully the throw on you bulbs are better than what I experienced with mine(which I returned).

I ended up returning my LED bulbs because of how they were in the rain at night, which it does everyday here in Florida during the summer, and because of the non-existent usable light.

I purchased the micro led from v-leds and I have found it to be much better then the halogen that this truck came with and very nice in rain which it does a lot of in Washington state.

Believe it or not there are comparable LEDs in the market to the stock halogens. Its not a sin to switch over after all. Lol
