Looks pretty bright and pretty sweet to me, plenty of light coverage about as bright as the double cab's Led bed lights on the sides of the 3rd center brake light that has the toggle switch in the cab, the instructions show you how to install using that bed light toggle switch in the double cab or how to install using the dome lighting switch in an access cab.

The problems I saw with the rail lighting is it usually lights the sides pointing downward which is sweet for some purposes but it doesn't shine light in the center where you need it when loading and unloading. These led led lights are angled and designed to light up the whole bed by directing light to the middle at the cargo which makes loading and unloading so much easier. Rail lighting is still bad ass though, heck I'd install both if I were you.

The 3rd brake light Led Bed lights are great too, but they are really best used by the driver so he can see his load and check on it during the ride by looking in the rear view and stopping and checking at the bed sides, but aren't very good at lighting the front of the cargo as you're looking at it standing in front of the open tailgate like these ones do. Also these ones can be used by the driver to check on the bed load because of their lighting coverage and the lights aren't angled into the cab so you're not getting blinded looking back there.

Bottom Line you need to keep modding so just do both cuz it'll look bad ass, heck I'm thinking about doing the rail lighting next myself, maybe I might find a way to have a switch for them inside the bed, who knows. Just Mod!

Welded up two additional hitch posts to my front receiver and put back the mini monster hooks. Still have to modify my skid plate then my ICON lift will be done!
