I hope that's like a two part epoxy mix where each component is in it's own compartment...

I want to apologize for the weather. Two weeks ago I took my winter wiper blades off the truck and put the summer blades on. I must have jinxed it.

Same here, but mine is the aftermath of my back injury/surgery. I'll settle for that over a messed up back any day.

Since they make me pay for a Trout "stamp" (read Tax) this year, I'm all about catch and fillet now.
Caught 10 this morning, kept 3.

Yes - currently leaning toward a decline.

I talked to the plant manager late yesterday. He's going to see if he can move me back to Mfg Eng or at least refine my position so that I can work on projects that use my abilities. Being caught in the middle of the love spat between Ms WP and the rest of the team will end - I'll absolutely make sure of it.

The new position would essentially add about 2 hours to my work day with the added commute and mandatory 1hr lunch, etc. I currently am able to get home by 4:00 - 4:15ish most days unless there is a real emergency. New job would be about or after 6pm. Less pay, loss of 2 weeks vacation, lower 401K match. Those are in the con column. The pro column has back to Mfg Eng responsibilities, learning new skills, a company that embraces lean manufacturing, etc. I'm sure I could be a lead person there. So, yes the loss of pay is significant (daughter will be attending college soon), but there's also some work life balance too.

Thinking you are making the right choice. Use your leverage to improve work life @ existing position is a great strategy. Good luck.
