There are lots of videos showing how to take the grille off, that's really all you need to see. As far as the garnish goes, it lines up with 3 tabs and 2 posts which you need the star washers to lock in place. Disconnect the sensor and reattach to the pro grille before you put it back in place. It's a 10 minute operation. The hardest part is getting the stock grille insert off without breaking any tabs.

It might sound a bit intimidating at first... but after reading this about 217 times, it's not that bad (I hope lol!).

Purchased grille on eBay. Modified Toyota garnish - cutting upper standoff’s and drilled for screws. Cut garnish lower tabs and mounted standoff’s for screws.

Thanx for everyone’s input on this thread. Came out awesome

Hey, I hate to be a dumbass, but just want to make sure that the eight Philip’s head screws that hold the chrome trim don’t go back in, correct? The only thing holding the grill are the snap in tabs, correct?

Thanks! Yea, it went back together pretty smooth. Then I look over and see all these screws sitting there and I’m thinking WTF are those?

The garnish isn’t as snug as I would like. I used some push on units from Ace, but couldn’t get it factory snug. I had to cut the factory ones off. Hopefully, it won’t rattle.

I thought about using some glue, but we’ll see if I can hear it rattle. It seems like it’s held on ok, I think the post was a little bit longer than the push on was deep so it couldn’t go on all the way.

Did you actually hear yours rattle?

When I put on garnish and tried to get new star locks to lock down far as possible it had a slight rattle. Didn't even give it chance to rattle on truck. I just put some hot glue all over star locks before snapping grill in place. I wouldn't think you would hear it I just over do things.

Got my eBay special $134 bucks delivered from bruceshark-001. No prob painting the outer letters flat black and epoxying them into place. Picked up the OEM garnish $53 from Conicelli Toyota website along with the longer connector wire for the radar $25 Part#88214-04020. Used a Dremel to separate the non-radar cover from the grill. Used OEM emblem nuts $8 90183-06044 from Amazon to secure the garnish on the grill. Now waiting for the longer cord to install it.
