2007 DCLB TRD Sport w/Leer cap. Bilstein 6112s and 5160s set to first notch/leveled out. Maybe going from 265/65/17 to 265/70/17?

Just picked up some 2017 4Runner stock wheels for el-cheapo on Craigslist. Also purchased some BORA 1" spacers. Now I'm ready for tires and I can NOT decide what to go with. I 95% daily drive on city roads to work and back 20 min commute. I do like road trips and camping off dirt roads. No rock climbing no desert racing. I live in the midwest so we get all crazy seasons of weather here. Snow, rain, hot and dry...I've researched all the top rated A/Ts yet I should probably be on a HT due to the reality of my daily drive. Anything not too lame-o looking in a HT I should check or a light weight A/T that won't be a huge difference over stock? I'd prefer P rated. Not trying to add much weight over stock and kill my MPGs. Thanks for any advice.

I've looked at them. They aren't too heavy/overkill for my daily commute? They're hella nice looking that's for sure!

I use them for my daily commute, may be overkill....but they are good tires I can count on when I need them.

I do a similar type of driving so I was looking for a similar tire. I decided on the falken wildpeak at3w in 265/75/16 p-rated on stock steelies. It took a couple tries for the shop to get them balanced correctly with no vibration. I’ve had them on for about 15k miles now and have zero regrets. They are perfect for me. They look great, ride smooth and quiet on the highway, they wear evenly at 32psi, and are just aggressive enough for anything I’ve gone through. No crazy off-roading, just occasional muddy farm roads and Ohio winters. To top it off they are reasonably priced as well. I picked up a new set from my local Pepboys and was at $625 our the door if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the input. I'll keep them on my short list. Great looking rig BTW. White is nice.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about the BFG ATs. They hook up better in the snow/ icy roads then my studded tires did, they have worn awesomely, Didn’t impact my fuel mileage to badly, and they look pretty good for a All Terrain.

I know all about the KO2s. Just not sure on the price and weight...afraid they won't be so nice after some wear...I had some on a work van E150 and they didn't last very long, but it was all downtown delivery driving sooooo.....not the same as a little Tacoma. I agree the KO2 isn't the most popular A/T in the world for no reason. I'll keep them in mind. Thanks!

Michelin Defender M/S. Great wet/snow traction (better than any AT you will find). Quietest/smoothest tire I've ever run on a truck, hands down. And they're just fine for light off-road to get you where you want to go camping (bumpy gravel and dirt).

The only reason I can think of that you would NOT want them is due to appearance. Some people understandably like a more rugged look.

But for the uses you describe, they'd be perfect. They also last almost FOREVER. 90k isn't unheard of. The extra dollars you pay up front, you'll get that back on the far end.

They come in P rated and aren't absurdly heavy.

No problem, I can’t say enough about these tires as an almost perfect all terrain p-rated tire. They have worn better than I actually expected.

    This is them after 15k

I love Michelin. My wife has some bad ass ones on her Camry. The ONLY reason I wouldn't is because they aren't very fun to look at and they're pricey, but the old man in me says "who cares it's about performance, dumbass." What about the AT 2??
    Thanks for your input.

If I was looking for an AT, I'd get the Mich AT2's. People say the AT2 is plenty quiet, but I wanted the quietest, as 95% of my driving is hiway. The Defender M/S is also much better in wet/snow than the AT2.

I just couldn't see making the sacrifice of quieter/better traction for the sake of appearance. Plus the M/S will last longer.

Get the AT2 MICHELIN, you cannot get a better tire for light truck applications, they ride like a dream and can do it highway, offroad, anywhere you need to go and have a more aggressive look your dying for. best AT made and im not even tripping,
