    It actually looks like a bad welding job. Blew through, then tried to fill it back in making the metal thinner near the patch that eventually fell off. But, a hole is a hole! New frame!

    This is my list so far of parts to buy before frame swap . Wheelers 3 leaf progressive AAL ,Wheelers Super bump stops front and rear . Geartech Customs splash guards for front wheel wells . Energy Suspension body bushings . Going to remove my after market hitch and either clean it and paint it or have it powder coated. I’m sure I will think of more stuff !

    No fuel pump or lower steering shaft?
    I was considering a rear bumper but I can do that on my own. My bumper is in pretty bad shape. I had it off a couple years ago and removed what rust I could and dipped it black. Looks bad ass on a silver Taco!

    Lower steering shaft might be something the dealer replaces for free ? Fuel pump is in the tank ,right ? Never had a problem with it .

    Just dropped my 09 off to get inspected. Was told if it does need a new frame it’ll be 6to 8 weeks. At least they gave me a new third gen to use while I’m waiting. I purposely didn’t tell them about the crack I posted, I want to see what they say. I don’t see any way how that won’t cause the frame to fail though.

    Just dropped mine off at the dealership after the frame came in. We will see how it goes. Got a damn Camry as a loaner. Which will make turkey hunting a little more difficult but I’ll make do lol

    I didn’t even have to ask, they just assumed I wanted a truck I guess? Initial 3rd gen thoughts are it’s quieter in town but on the highway it’s got a lot of wind noise from the drivers side mirror area. Definitely nice but not sure it’d be worth the upgrade price.
