I have almost 25 years of doing my own maintenance on all my vehicles, & some time getting paid to wrench on them, not once have I used anti-seize or dielectric grease on spark plugs. Not once have I had an issue by not using either as well. Maybe I've got lucky because I live in Texas?

Anti-seize saved my ass when I had my S10. The middle plug on the driver side was behind the steering column. It would have been an absolute bear to break free without it.

40+ years of the same here. I never used anti seize, but we did use dielectric grease in the old days of distributors and plug wires. Those old spark plug wire boots would bake onto the plug ends. A lot of people would grab and pull the wire instead of just twisting and pulling the boot off. But those days are long gone.

Looks like the anti seize on spark plugs is a classic internet you should do it/you shouldn't do it debate. Ahhhhh the internet. First you think ya done good and then ya think your vehicle is F'd.

You are the first Taco I’ve seen keep the wheels I have. Plan to do the same thing after I lift it. There are so many things higher on the list than wheels for me, they are really more of a want than a need for where we plan to go. Looking good bud.

I think the important thing is not overtorqing in the first place.

The old engines back in the day with cast iron heads were a different animal, but still had a few broken spark plugs cause someone overtorqued them. Anti-seize helped a lot on those engines.

"Getting out of hand" - Wife

First time changing the oil with the fumoto valve. I love that there is no mess whatsoever but it is quite slow, I changed my oil filter and emptied/cleaned my catch can and still had a minute or two to kill waiting for it. But, in the end I’m definitely happy with it

On another note, I kept meaning to post this but my battery looks to be off-gassing a lot more than usual and I have to clean corrosion off the terminals fairly often. Any ideas why this might be happening?
