    I've never seen them that large, I'd chop the giardinara up and I use pepper rings (sliced).

    You have ruined it! :frusty: Nah, it will be good eatin'. Next time I make it, I will use the entire jar and all the juice. Just have to quarter the big chunks.

    All the oil from the giardinara might results in high velocity bowel movements.

    I use both those....if you're making beef dip samiches, after cooking that long in the crock pot, I find that they just fall apart anyway....no need to chop up. IMHO.

    I love beef dip samiches!!:drool::drool:

    EDIT:
    I use a California Hot Mix....also from Mezzetta. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

    Not sure if this has been done in 95 pages, but a simple spaghetti/pasta sauce recipe.
    1lb ground beef
    1lb ground italian sausage
    Cook both and drain grease

    2- 15 oz cans of tomato sauce
    1- 6 oz can of tomato paste
    2-15 oz cans of diced tomatos (rotel with green chili's if you want a little more spice to it)
    half a chopped onion ( or prepacked dried onions to save yourself the tears)
    Italian spices ( i use the already blended stuff in a bottle)
    half cup of sugar
    a little bit of water, maybe 1/4 cup.
    My GF doesn't like spicy food so I don't do it anymore, but I used to put a couple tablespoons of crushed red pepper in.
    Put everything in the pot on low for 8 hours and serve over the pasta of your choice.
    It's usually thick enough that you could serve it without pasta by itself or in a bread bowl.
