Siesta Key spiced and toasted coconut! Always keep a couple bottles of each laying around... Doesn’t hurt the distillery is right down the street :D

I completely agree with you completely! I was sooo surprised when I tried CM Black. It's really close to Kraken, also another very good one.

Zacapa is one of my go to rums, usually the Zacapa 23 though.

I finally opened my bottle of La Hechicera... not impressed. Zacapa 23 is better.

I'm bringing this back from Colombia. I may grab another bottle and 1 or 2 more boxes. Also got the Pampero since Venezuelan goods may be illegal soon.

I go down to Costa Rica often, and even though this is from Nicaragua, everyone drinks it there as well.

Flor de Caña is a great rum. I've had the 18 and 25.

Sipping on this tonight. Not bad, but $75 is a bit much.

    Current Rums on Hand are:
    Zacapa Edicion Negra
    La Hechicera
    Havana Club Maestro Selection
    Maestro Gabo
    Botero
    Havana Club 7
    Pedro Mandinga
    Pampero Anniversario

I brought all but the Zacapa back from Colombia and they are all either not sold in the US or are very hard to find.

I'm a sales rep in the industry so forgive any bias you may perceive!

Bacoo 5, 8, 12 year rums, crazy good for the prices, not available everywhere
    5 is a vanilla bomb
8 is very balanced between vanilla/oak
12 is the oak bomb of the group

Already been stated, but the Appletons are great. Their Special Gold & Silvers were just relabeled to J. Wray if you have trouble finding them.

Zaya was great once upon a time, I have not tried it since they took the age statement off

Baron Samedi, black spiced rum, quite tasty

Managed to find a bottle of Flor de Caña 25. Last bottle in the store, I've been looking for a few months.

Rum isn't exactly at the top of my booze list, but when I do get the itch, I enjoy a bit of Sailor Jerry Rum now and then.

That was the rum that I started with and if you're looking for something reasonably priced to mix with Coke, it's not bad. I think much of the world is just waking up to the fantastic range of rums available. Zacapa 23 is a great step up from Sailor Jerry and typically runs about $40 per delicious bottle, if you're interested in branching out.

I couldn't resist... I opened the Flor de Caña tonight. It's a great sipping rum. It's very smooth, no bite and very little burn. If you're willing to shell out $155 on a single bottle, it's worth it.

My go-to bottles have been from local outfits. Will post bottle pics eventually.

Bayou spiced and Caneland Spice Flavored. The former is better for mixing, while I enjoy the latter on the rocks.

I think there's a place in DC that has the Bayou Spiced in stock right now, but I hate driving into the city unless I have to.

Another vote for Siesta Key Rum. I can't count the number guests that I've had that tried it and were blown away by it. I'm not a big fan of flavored rums as they can be too sweet and syrupy, but their toasted coconut rum is fantastic.

I’m also a fan of Doorly’s Barbados spiced rum. It has a great flavor profile with a very mild burn at the end- almost like a tropical bourbon.

I've see the Siesta Key Rum, but I've never tried it. I rarely buy flavored rums, but I may pick up a bottle. I think my local store carries it.
