Took a little look-see at the sculptures, then went to run the Split Mountain trail. This was an easy fun trip. Plenty of rocks to run through, soft sand to kick up and slide on, and breathtaking views all in one place. The family had a blast today. Enjoy the pics.

We usually camp at the palm canyon campground and use our Jeep to run the trails but maybe I’ll bring our 2016 tacoma or 4x4 and try a few trails

I agree. Was at the same place last week. Ran a bunch of the trails. By the way, that's my girl driving our Jeep.

Haven't been back there since the early 90's , Also remember Coyote canyon at both entrances being a nice technical rock crawl . Both the Turkey Track and the entrance near Palm canyon would definitely cause body damage , Now the canyon is basically a 2wd dirt road

The other area I liked was the El Diablo drop off , that was always fun and the split mtn area , jeep squeeze and heart attack hill

My girl snapped this pic of me squeezing between a wall and a boulder.
