Anyone have 17" wheels and a +3.5 LT kit? I was looking at going to a 17" wheel with 4.75" backspacing and running a 34" tire. Any issues? I currently have some tall 33's and I do rub on my rear bypasses at full stuffs with 1.5" wheel spacers.

    A thing or two...
What is the backspace of your current wheel? If it's less than 4.75", you're going rub worse most likely. Also, what is the size of the old tire vs the new tire? Tall 33 and 34 doesn't tell the whole story.

I currently have some method wheels with a 0 offset and 4.5" backspacing. I also am running 255/85/16 tires (33.5" with Toyo open country Mud Terrains. Toyo's run large). I was thinking of running a 285/75/17 in either a bfg K02 or toyo mud terrain. I don't like super wide tires. I have been lucky with the current size in that I haven't done a cab mount chop due to my +3.5 long travel . I know I will have to do that running the 285/75/17. The wheels I was looking at have a 0 offset and a 4.75" backspacing (17x8.5).

I may just stick to my tall 33's..

I actually found a nice online calculator. I think ill be fine. Looks like 4.75" backspacing accounts for any offset. So I am still at a 0 offset. So I am basically just increasing the width by .6" on either side.

I think you should be good too. I got the 3.5 race on mine with 17 inch SCS wheels with 4.30 BS and 10mm offset with 35 kbros.
