I'm thinking about plasti-dipping the 18" chrome wheels on my 2012 TRD sport, and wondering if anyone has ever done it, or has pictures of it. (I looked, and couldn't find any...)

If you are wondering how they will look blacked out...check out the photoshop request thread.
If you are wondering how plastidip holds up on wheels check out one of the many plastidip threads here on tacomaworld.

All I will tell you is... when people plastidip their wheels... you can tell. I think it looks trashy but thats one mans opinion.

I think you should just buy new wheels.

Not sport or 18” but here are my 16” O/R wheels plastidipped. No peeling. Multiple car washes and zero issues. If you take your time, it can look decent until you can buy new wheels. And here are my new wheels.

What color is your truck? Mine is black 2014 trd sport 17 in rims and I did black first and didnt like it after 2 years and just peeled off and repainted black and did the MGM metallizer over and it looks sweet. Rims are the last thing i care about for functionality. It looks good if you do it right but it doesnt replace badass new rims if that is what you want. But it does give you an idea of what it could look like.
