Awesome! I got a pair with features like that about a year ago. It's my 4th pair; I've been going deaf since I was in my 40's. I'm pretty far gone at this point, but as my circle of friends get older I find myself able to hear *better* than them in certain situations such as a noisy restaurant.

Plus with this new pair and the high quality bluetooth streaming, my ability to hear a phone conversation has been completely transformed. I can freak people out by walking around having a phone chat with someone -- but looking as though I'm talking to myself! That can be very entertaining.

And like you said the music and TV audio streaming is great too. I'd still rather have 'natural' hearing but the new tech makes being deaf a bit more tolerable.

 

You know that would be a great prank to pull on people.
Just start swearing and yelling for no reason in a group of people.
Then say.
“Oh sorry,,, phone call...” lol

Went to the grocery store this morning and was streaming some music (Stick Figure) off of Spotify at low volume.l am gonna get used to that! One of the other features was setting the noise level in different shops that I'm in during the day and the aids will remember that shop the next time l go.That is nice

 

Talk about hands free.... wow

 

I wonder if I can get a upgrade for my rotary dial phones to do that? People talk about Blue Tooth and I think they are eating blue berries or black berries.

When my kids were in Junior High about 12 to 14 years ago we had a rotary phone in a spare bedroom. We asked them to dial their Grandparents they looked at us and said how do you dial. Seemed funny then but how would they have known?

 

Evening all:
You think that's bad! Back in 68 or 69 one of the officers or chiefs said that the dishwasher broke, his young daughter asked his wife how they were going to wash the dishes now that the dishwasher was broke!

 

Who remembers dialing a rotary phone to win a prize on the radio! Seemed like it took forever to dial

 

Use to dial the number but not the last one and wait.

 

And the rotary phone never went into sleep mode (like the smart phones do) when you were waiting to dial that last number...

 

I still have one operational next to my bed.
It lights up when I grab it and it flashes when it rings

 

Remember when phone numbers began with a word? You had to dial the first two numbers that corresponded to the first two letters of the word. Ours was EVergreen8-6291. Or even better, party lines? You recognized an incoming call as yours by the number of rings (with a pause between the sequence of rings). How about talking to the operator - a real live person, not a voice response unit.
