    Hi guys,

I just bought a used 2015 TRD Sport and it came with 265 size tires. The problem is the truck is about a half of an inch too tall to fit in my garage (old house with low cross beam in garage). Tirerack says that the 245/75-16 will work with a Tacoma double cab 4x4, but it doesn't have an option to select TRD Sport anywhere, only TRD Pro, which require the larger 265s.

What disadvantages am I looking at if I move from 265s to 245s? Am I crazy for actually trying to lower the truck by changing tire size? Do I have other options to lower the truck?

It's not a deal breaker not fitting in the garage, but it would be nice.

    Thanks for reading.

The sport has 17 in wheels from the factory which is probably why it's not popping up on Tirerack. They will work if you have 16 in wheels.

Not much on mods - Leer 180, TRD wheels, Mobtown sliders, rear hitch, helper springs on the rear
    Aren't both 265/70-16 and 245/75-16 30.5" tall?

I think you're right, I might be stuck with the current height unless I lower the suspension I guess.
