    Hello all,
    Just picked up an 08 Tacoma from a family member a couple of weeks ago and have quickly made a list of things to adjust, modify and customize as long as my arm. I started Google searching and the best info I found came from here so here I am.

    A little info on the truck. It's an 08 Double cab, Prerunner, TRD Sport with 330K on the clock. My wife's uncle is an Amsoil rep and bought it to drive as a service vehicle with 28K on it so it's almost all highway miles and had nothing but Amsoil in it since he got it and it came with cases of oil and filters to boot. For under $3K the price was right.

    I believe it got bumped in the rear and pushed into another vehicle at some point so the front bumper skin has been replaced and while they don't look bad in pictures, I'll be replacing the headlights and center grill and adding the small covers under the lights back in. The rear bumper is getting replaced and I need to do the driver's side tail light as well. There was very little body damage but the driver's side of the bed is wrinkled a bit where the bumper hit it.

    He recently replaced the factory front Bilstein struts with standard Monroe struts and the factory rears are still there. I hate it not having the Bilsteins it's supposed to so I'll be saving for new 5100's all the way around. I don't have any intentions at this point for lifting it beyond just leveling the front out.

    The interior has some scuffs and scrapes here and there in the plastic but the seats are all perfect. I've already performed the compass/temp display fix and next will be a blower motor resistor and/or connectors.

    And lastly it's suffering from the low speed vibrations when accelerating from a stop. I was initially thinking it could be a motor mount but seeing the other fixes on here I'm going to start looking at the carrier bearing and transmission mounts.

    All that to say I'm excited to be here and ready to start turning wrenches and get this thing out in the wild where it belongs as the spring weather finally gets here. Sorry for the book of a first post.
