The double cardan is just three ujoints stuffed into a couple cast iron sleeves you'd think we could still get them but no one has them.

I wish I could remember the name of the dude that couldn't source a joint for his driveshaft....it'll come to me. Maybe it was the double cardan joint...something about it being considered 'non-replaceable' by Toyota or something like that.

Somebody in Indy knows what parts to snag off Toyota’s. They go the locking diff out of a 4Runner and they got the calipers off a Tundra. Of course the alternator tensioner bolt got taken with the alternator off the 4Runner and the air box was cracked

Can someone throw me the link to the Callahan Tundra/Sequoia brake kit on Amazon? I was searching under 2003 Sequoia 13WL, but not getting confirmation of where/what the kit was for. I thought I had it bookmarked but no joy. I am trying to get off my ass and finally do this. That and the suspension which is worn to shit. So I am now at 200K plus, I think its all OEM and I am thinking Kings and rear struts now lower ball joints now, and do the leafs later.

Id do the timing belt, water pump, all the bearings with it, the fan one too, plugs and wires, valve cover gaskets, while your at it all.

I don't think the kit is on there anymore. It'll be on ebay though.

Just ordered some OME Dakar leaf springs, would've preferred to go with a Wheeler's pack but at nearly double the cost, I just can't swing that. Looking forward to ditching the 3 leaf AALs I've got now, hope these new Dakars ride well. The 3 leaf AALs ride great with the weight of my RTT but any more added weight and they sag really bad.

Mine broke too. I had a new one 3d printed out of 100% infill ABS plastic. I have a write-up on it.

I've also discovered that OEM Toyota door handles are shit...I've broken 2 in the past few months since my original ones broke. The Dormans I put on in their place have lasted longer so far and I noticed a small but crucial design difference between the Dormans and the OEM Toyota handles...

The handles work via a small plastic 'lip' that pushes down on the metal latch inside the handle and opens the door. This plastic lip on the Toyota OEM handles is very small, and what happened to me (on 3 OEM handles) was that lip eventually doesn't want to grab the metal latch and slips off of it, causing the door to not open. A few times, I've been able to take the handle apart and bend the latch backward a bit so that the plastic lip grabs it again, but it always slips back out of place within a week or so. The Dorman handles have a bigger plastic lip and so far, they've worked great for me. Haven't had a Dorman one fail yet, and they're $20 as opposed to the $75 - $150 OEM handles (depending on where you get them).

Just thought I'd share in case anyone is going through a door handle nightmare like what I've been going through lately...

My dorman handle feels kinda flimsy but no real issues in a year that I’ve had it. The factory one snapped off one cold morning. I now pry the door open from the top with the handle open if it’s stuck from ice or something

Yeah that's how my very first handle broke...it was a freezing cold morning up in Big Bear and the plastic handle snapped. That's another weakness in the design of the handles, if you grab them further away from the lock it puts a lot of stress on the plastic component...best to grab them as close to the lock as possible.

have you cleaned your door linkage and the locking mechanism? I've found the OEM handles to be WAY better than any aftermarket one. Cleaning them helps a ton.
