I know what you mean, I'm kind of the same way most of the time. but now taking more time to document everything it seems to be worth taking the extra time. Lol nothing like doing the same mode twice.

    Thanks,

And I did get a check engine light about 300 miles after I installed it but I don't think its related to the intake. The code was for a vacuum leak. Probably gas cap was loose so I tightened it and re set to light. 200 miles late no check engine light. I did notice in idle with stock boot boot was around 1k RPM but with the air aid it went down to .7 RPMs. other then that it seems fine.

Today’s mod was Tundra 13WL brake swap.
And while I had the wheels off also swapped the cv axles and UCA washers.

Brake swap was very easy and trimming the dust shield was very minimal.

    Tundra brake parts list:
    * OEM tundra calipers 231mm
    * Silver Preformance Drilled and Slotted rotors.
    * OEM Tundra caliper bolts (shorter than tacoma bolts, see picture)
    * Wheelers off road brake lines
    * Akebono ACT976 ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad Set

At this time I’m still finishing up the driver side. Hopefully will be done tonight and can test my new brakes.

Finished installing the tundra brakes also installed the splash guards from @cnote4l
A few holes where off so I drilled new ones. Fast easy install. Oh and did the deck plate mod.

There should be 2 pre fab holes along the bottom row that are slightly offset (1/2" - 3/4") this is intended to force slack into the splash guards to accommodate for body/frame flexing offroad. Besides that the splash guards look very fitting

Was bleeding my brakes and snapped the nipple :/
Incase anyone else had this issue here is a simple way to get the rest of it out. Just beat a torx that’s a little bigger then the hole and unscrew it. Here are some pics.

Been working on my truck but keep forgetting to add to my build thread. Here is what I did today:

I call this mod “clearance loss” lol
Swapped stock drive shaft to a single. Took only 30 minutes to do. Seems to drive better.
Still getting axle warp but not as bad as before. I’ll probably end up making a traction bar for it later.

I actually picked it up from a guy locally. But I was trying to have a shop make me one and they refused. Said to just order it online :notsure:
I guess they didn’t want my business lol

    Another update:
My heater control was having a bad connection so I picked one up to replace mine. Here is a link to what was happening:
    https://youtu.be/1MbMC1E9CKU
I think the one I picked up was actually from a 4runner. The reason is the face plate is not orange like my tacoma one is. So when I installed the new LED’s I didn’t have to worry about finding a new face plate with a white backing. Here are some pictures of the swap. Only thing now is I’m looking for 2 more knobs with white filler to complete my swap.

Installed new zerk fitting on my OME greasable shackles. And just in case anyone needs specs for size and thread pitch here it is:

And now to find time to install them on the truck.
