This is a sick looking rig! Looks kinda familiar ;) Haha
I was wondering what that constant duty model would look like size wise. I'm considering building a waterproof storage system in the spare tire mount area. Maybe one that could hold a pressurizable water tank. Would just need to figure out how to heat the water effectively then... Could the air system all fit in front of that last rear crossmember? Like behind the Tcase and to the drive side of the exhaust? I'd rather not install the tank right there due to my own future plans. But, dang, this looks badass.

What suspension are you running to clear those tires? That's right about the size of tires I'm thinking of going with up from my 255/85r16 BFG KM1's that are old and only 40% tread left. I' was debating getting 17" wheels so I could get the Nitto Ridge Grapplers, but I like the thought of more sidewall... This whole build is awesome! Real similar to the direction I'm looking to go in a lot of ways haha... stupid $$$$$$$$$ in your tag line agree with my current wallet.

I don't think you would have enough room without heating things up a bit.

I have 3" King's up front with quite a bit of pre-load. The rear is a combination of OEM Dakars, ICON progressive AAL's and Toytec shackles.

Came home from Phoenix yesterday after training and my truck got hotter than it ever has. It got up to 210° then for a split second it flashed 212° which got me worried. I drove home with the A/C off in 104°, yuck.

Got up this morning, drained the coolant, pulled the stock radiator, replaced the Stant 170° thermostat, which never got below 188° and made this happen!

Then I pulled my stock MAF and replaced it with one from a Volvo, even used the Volvo sensor.

And awhile back the front bushings failed on my JBA upper control arms, so I replaced them with my awesome wifey's help.

So a little update. Drove 40 miles both ways from 7000 feet to 8500 feet. Idle temp was 188° and driving temp was 186°. Hottest it got climbing hills was 188°.
Fuel mileage was around 22 mpg average after new MAF.

Came home and pulled my skid plates in preparation for the next stage of maintenance. Found three of the four transmission mount bolts missing. Replaced them and used blue lock tight on them.

Pulled the front drive line, I need to replace the output seal on the Xfer case.

Next will be the rear drive shaft to replace the carrier bearing and then the diffs for 4:88 gears.

    Lots of work ahead...

Likewise! Jealous of the sc and manual trans. Also, you wouldn't happen to have a pop up sunroof right? I've always liked the Prinsu rack but am not sure if I should go with one since I have a sunroof in mine.

I do not have the sunroof, which made getting the Prinsu rack easier.

This is what happens when your passenger door handle breaks and you find out the 4Runner door handles you have been holding onto all this time are not the same.

Added a new mirror with compass and temperature.

Also replaced the front output seal on the transfer case and the carrier bearing today.

I picked up my rear differential that ZUK re-geared to 4:88, now I need to break in the gears and then get the front axle when I head back down to the furnace that is Phoenix next month.

For me, I think the best solution would have been a utility shell with a rack on it that was capable of holding a RTT.
