Is it really that big of a deal? It doesn’t seem to be that much more clearance. Or is it more for the tire clearance. Because from what I see, the differential still hangs lower than the u-bolts.

I’d go shackle. It ties in nicely with the red letters. If the hook were red I’d say hook though.

Make sure to post back with a followup review of what you think after driving it a while please. Can you also post up a side pic? Do you know what this setup netted you in lift?

Well, the clearance aspect is more for protection from objects that could cause you to make contact with, and then break a U-Bolt and then lose an axle. Not to keep you from getting hung up on anything.

I run a multipurpose tool in mine. Step, recovery point, and bumper protection.

Liked the fact that you painted the hook red, something I intend on doing as well. I can see me whacking my shin on that sucker!

I used to have a 3/4 ton diesel with a 13k# pintle hitch. That lasted in there about 2 weeks before I painted it fluorescent green/orange. Another plus with the Beaver Step, no busted shins.

Dang Rob, how much does that thing weigh?
Add a shackle and that could double as an anchor!

HAHAHAHA, Not too much, only 15 lbs. On the up side the weight keeps it from rattling. :D

Ha! Funny, didn't know @Rob Daman ran one too! It really does do a great job of protecting your bumper but as a recovery point nothing is easier to use. I use it to pull shit around on the property all the time.

The price ins't bad either considering all the uses.
