These are specifically designed for ball joints. Apples-to-porpoises comparison to what's on your truck.

It's a two way street brother. I don't think you are understanding us, either.

If you have lifted it to the point where you need a "longer stem" to prevent the UCA from hitting the coil, you've screwed it up, and exceeded the limits of the suspension geometry. I'm guessing over 3". If that's the case, you need a kit like Procomp, which properly corrects the angles of your control arms, preserves your CV angles, etc...

Stop trying to create your own "custom" lift here. Just buy aftermarket control arms and do a proper lift.

Are you trying to just design your own set of ucas? Thats take a fair amount of work. Were not trying to be complete dicks just save you time and stress fron doing something that may or may not fix your problem. Your best bet is just buy after market ucas so fix your problem then start working on your own ucas is you want

Btw if you look at any after market control arms for your truck with uni balls you will see that they are massive compared to the oem ball joints, so any benift you think you will get from swapping to uni balls is minimal to non, because the size uni ball that would fit is small

I didn't even put 2 and 2 together until just now OP is the same guy from that other thread with the BJ spacers.

@Huckshot, you've now posted 3 different threads about your ball joint spacer idea.

"Converting" it to a uniball is not going to change anyone's answer for you. It's still a bad idea.

Lol yeah once i saw who the op was i knew how this was gunna go.

If you some how manage to make super cool guy ucas with ball joints that actually work and correct your geometry then please post picks to prove us wrong. But simply swapping in some uni balls wont fix your issue

Just go buy an old toyota pickup with IFS, those you can use BJ spacers for a shoddy lift.

I cannot overstate what a horrible idea that is. You're going to kill yourself and/or your passengers if you try this.

Awful on a low rider, but the stresses on the extension in that video are FAR less than on your truck due to tire/wheel size and weight differences. You're increasing lateral forces by some multiple and will collapse your front end on your first hard turn.

How much did you pay for your truck? How much is the safety of you, your passengers, and other drivers on the road worth?

I assure you, it's far more than the cost of upgraded aftermarket UCAs.

I'd like to think we're providing some constructive criticism maybe with a hint of sarcasm for entertainment purposes.

But I guess that gets thrown out the window when it's your third thread on the same topic, and it obvious you're not really listening or understanding the advice that's being given.

    So...

    carry on...
