Maybe, but he mentioned holding 6th and there's nothing about "S" mode that will force hold a higher gear. If I misunderstood, my apologies. . .just trying to help a brother out.

 

Yeah I know you're trying to help out. While he said S mode would hold 6th gear I don't think he was implying that it was forced. Anyway, I could be wrong as well. Just my interpretation.

Quite the opposite. The MPG gains were real. The emissions compliance were faked... Which made for the amazing MPGs everyone was getting.

Just commuted home and was NOT driving conservatively. Even with me giving it more juice and going hard uphill I still managed to average 15.8mpg with 1.04 91 octane. Brilliant! With numbers like these road trips will be well into the 20’s. Great job Mat @OVTune

 

My current tank is averaging 21 mpg. I just filled up yesterday with an average of 23.3 over 140 miles.

 

Noticed on my drive to/from work today in D mode, I depressed the pedal enough to require a drop from 5th to 3rd and it went into 4th then 3rd rather than making the full jump...kind of annoying. I'll try more this week.

 

Does 1.04 feel like some low end torque is missing compared to 1.03? Only have about 120miles on it so far. 1.03 felt like it pepped up after a few 100 miles.

Yep. He confirmed when talking with @MOC221_ regarding the MT test tunes that were being worked with, and compared it to the feel of Sprint Booster, how people think they gained actual power and then feel like they lost power when removing the SB

Hi. I just installed a TMJ front bumper on my truck and a "Smittybilt" 10,000 LBS. winch. They say that I need at least 650 CCA battery. Which one is compatible with my OFF ROAD 3.5 LTR 4X4? If 650 is minimum I (of course) Would like to go bigger. Any suggestions? Thanks to my friends here on TW.

 

He should make a tune that neuters the power and increase the throttle response to very aggressive. Just to fuck with people who arent paying attention. I’m sure there’s people that would love that extra “power” and lack of drivability.

 

I’d make a new thread. No one is going to see that in the chaos that is the alpha thread. They’ll probably tell you to get a Cold air intake.
