This is a new bend, at least since I installed my Kings last fall.

My LCAs are about 25% off center, so there's room to adjust them, then adjust the hiem joints on the UCA to get the alignment right.

That, however, will be a full day of work on an alignment rack. @Braves95 can we go visit your buddy next month?

I added the @dirt designs coil bucket hats that allow for a secondary shock hoop and a cross brace. With the TC bucket gussets and these hats with cross brace I’m not seeing any cracking or stretching. Plus, the cross brace is reducing the in and out bucket lean.

    I was looking into those.

In the meantime, I put a few little beads on it, and have a buddy cutting me some plates for the top.

Here's a better picture of the crack FWIW:

Interesting, running the same setup with no contact. Can you expand on your logic on this above?

I was curious with that statement as well. Rear travel has nothing to do with the front. If anything, the rear ride height changed which led to a change in the weight bias in the front. I mean, I beat on my truck and haven't worried about cracking or bending the shock tower. The only way I see that happening is if you are bottoming out the shock before the bump stop is fully compressed. Hard to tell with rubber bumps though since they'll only compress fully on a hard hit.

I'd adjust the heims out a good couple of turns and realign with the lca and see how things clear. But like mentioned, gonna be a good chunk of time on an alignment rack playing with things.

My observation: Increased travel in the rear allows the truck to stay close to level longer, and therefor stuff the front tires further due to increased weight on that corner. Instead of the whole truck tipping. See picture below. This is low speed crawling, btw.

Regardless of the dynamics that achieved it, on my last trip out I definitely stuffed the fronts farther than before, as measured by getting the tires to rub on the fender flare, and the bump stop hitting the LCA. I confirmed the shock is not bottoming out, but I'm not sure how much of the bump stop i actually used.

it's entirely possible i'm thinking about the dynamics of this situation wrong....

Well regardless, I'd spend some time on an alignment rack and get the uca to clear the shock tower.

Got it, you are using more of the travel, but the travel did not change.

    Yup.

Hey all so I have a ? for those more knowledgeable than I. Im running a shackle flip with dakars and the b110 bilsteins. I'm getting a strange pop sound coming from the rear end and i believe it's coming from the leaf pack on the driver side any idea what that could be from ? I noticed on both sides the 2nd from the front eye there aren't any bolts in the brackets that hold the packs together but there are holes drilled in the bottom of them ?
