My bumper got smacked in a parking lot and it messed up the paint on the rear rocker panel. Instead having the body shop repaint, I was thinking of black plastic dip, bed liner, or some sort of stick on rocker panel cover. EXPEL might work but it get's mixed reviews on Amazon. I got good deal on 2013 bumper off craigslist but need to protect the paint.
    Any ideas out there?

Are you sure where the bumper mounts to isn’t bent?

I would have the shop repaint it.

I’m not sure if you are wanting to do full rocker panel wraps or Line-X on both sides of the truck or you are talking about spot fixing it with plasti-dip.

Plasti dip will help you decide if you want the full rocker panels done but I would not use that as the permanent solution. Plasti dip just ends up looking cheap.
I’d go Line-X on the rocker panels

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to try to repaint a small section with Dupli-Color. It's an 11 year old truck, I hardly wash it, take it through mud, so no reason to keep it pristine, especially for the quoted $2,200 and my deductible is $1000.
