That really sucks because some xbox games require sometimes over 10gb updates before you can even play them with disk loaded.

There is a way around that problem when you first install a game. I log in to Xbox, and then cut off the router before I insert the game disk. Then the game installs without any hangups, trying to install the updates while your game is being installed. I then get to play the game right off the bat. It's only later that I will let Xbox install an update. Another thing, my satellite provider only throttles my speed down when I go over the monthly limit. I can still download lots of gigs, but I have to wait until everyone goes to bed and gets off the internet for my speed to pick up. If I'm in the penalty box, other users, who are not there, yet, get first dibs on all the speed, while I get nothing until late. As a result, I have to leave the system on all night to get those huge 10 gig+ updates.

Would it be cheaper to get unlimited data on your phone and use as a hotspot?

That would be a great idea, but for one fact, I live in a rural area, which is a dead spot for cell phones. I don't even have a smart phone, just a regular pre-paid flip phone. Now, I did pair it with my Tacoma radio just for grins and will use it when I drive into town, but when I'm home, never turn it on. Now, my wife has a smart phone, and she plays on Facebook using my wireless router, but if she needs to make a call, she has to drive a quarter mile down to the end of our driveway to call anyone. She just texts her sister a lot. She's probably why I'm always in the penalty box every month with all the video and junk she watches. Living where we do, we have to pay for a land line every month.

This is why good internet and cell service is a must have when purchasing my new house.
This is why I make sure every house I own has high speed internet and cell service. I need my interwebs fast.

It took Intel long enough to release a Hexacore i5 lol.

Sounds like their next line might include an Octacore i5 as well. They’ll need it since AMDs early release specs on their next chips look like their continuing to close the gap. Too bad all the performance per dollar gains are more than consumed by these crazy prices on everything else.

My AMD 8350 build feels pretty dated. Wife has an i5 build that made me :jellydance: so here I am blowing a wad of cash.

1080 msrp is around 549, i think? So yeah, thats not bad to get one close to msrp. NVIDIA webstore had stock on all their FE cards yesterday minus the 1080Ti.
I have seen a few "deals" on gpus from MC lately, which is better than nothing i suppose. Stock finally seems to be coming back though which is a good sign.

I just assumed it would be the 1100 series. But you know what they say about assuming.
