    2013 cause I own it.

I like the 2013 as it has the compass in the mirror. It's the small things in life I guess.

2009 V6 CCLB Sr5 4x4 189k miles and only major items were steering rack, steering shaft, wheel bearing and ujoints

I did have an 18 wheeler trailer side swipe me and might have damaged the steering components when it was fairly new

14-15 still have the compass, but only if you have one of the touchscreen head units.

2011 with 141k, I have done NOTHING to my truck other than scheduled maintenance besides a battery that replaced the factory battery which was 6 years old. I haven’t been very gentle with it either... :D

I miss my 99 regular cab. It was a great little 4wd pickup. I like my 05 regular cab too. It just got the new frame at 186000 and still going strong. I really like the late 90's to 04 model regular cabs best.

In terms of reliability my 2001 4cly was pretty well bullet proof I owned for 3 years the only thing mechanical I had to do was replace the clutch when I bought it at a auction 3 years ago it came from America somewhere with 240k miles when I parked it had 270k miles
    Came with brand new tires

I believe really the only reason I had to replace the clutch was because the previous owner knowing was trading in probably tried doing burn outs and probably roasted tires and burned out the clutch when I took the clutch out it was basically a peace of paper

But because it was a 1st Gen it was littered with recalls and the frame was rotted I had to patch the frame in multiple spots and had to replace a rear shocks because well off roading one of the shocks broke off the frame and shot thru the bed
The frame is the only reason I decided to take it off the road and buy a new to me new truck

I now have a 2011 I’ve only owned it for 2 and a half months and it’s super clean I don’t know of previous problems or anything but owning it i haven’t had any major problems but my rear locker sensor is bad it doesn’t know the diff is locking and the light just flashes when the locker is locked should stay solid light

When I was looking I was looking at 2012 -13 - 14s only because price and because of Bluetooth 13-14 for the head units all that and I figure 12s-14s would have fewer miles

i did my research asking the same question when i decided to buy a used 2nd gen that i could offord and from what i found was that the 2010 and 2011 were my best options so i found a 2010 with 83k on it so far had to change out some dead bulbs in the dash

I got 600k out of my 99. Nothing but routine maintenance there.
My 2012 has been through the air injection pump, new torque converter, window stripping. So far my 99 has been more reliable. But I do love my 2012.
