I just recently had my frame changed and have just started using the AC. Here is my question. When I turned the AC on it took at least 5 minutes to start working. My AC works but even friends that have rode with me say it is not as cold as it was. The compressor runs and the air is pretty cold and it kicks off and the air coming out goes warm. Is this normal? Should the air coming out always be cold or should it be warm when the compressor kicks off like it is now? It just seems like before the air was constantly cold.

I would add some store bought stuff with dye and guage. If it get colder again, you know it was low. Use it for a few days, get a black light and look around at the bottom of the condenser for the dye. They may have banged it around during swap.

    Do not do this.

If you do not have the ability to correctly check and charge the AC System take it to someone that does. Those cans could cost you a complete AC System Rebuild.

I also think you may have a low R134a Charge and a leak.

Hahaha. Yeah those bottles are full of acid. They will make your wheels fall off and turn your headlights yellow too. I'm off to put coolant in my oil and add some blinker fluid to my horn. Later

Well there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. You are welcome to do it anyway you want to on your truck.
You should not lead the uninformed off into the wilderness to do something that could if not careful cause more damage.

I would think you would understand as from your avatar you fly an aircraft?

Sorry you are offended by the truth.
