Dealer transmission service possibly not performed ?

no mention of how many quarts used .

 

A couple of years ago I had the fluid drained and filled at the dealer at 70k miles for my Tundra (supposedly), then at 95k it started shifting funny and shuddering. I decided to do a drain and fill myself using Maxlife ATF and the fluid that came out was brown. There’s no way they changed it at 70k like they said they did, and I’ve got to the point where I don’t trust them to do anything unless I can see it for myself.

 

Agree they didn't do it, but you needed to check b4 you left the dealership and show them. When my services were free, tire rotation was included, and I use a paint marker and put the tire positions on inside of the tires, and just had to kneel down to check inside of tires. At the 3rd service, I checked and they weren't moved, the service manager was pretty embarrassed and my service after the free ones was free also. I mark the oil filter toward the rear with the paint marker too and they have changed the filters all the time. With the paint marker the paint drys and when the bolt is removed paint breaks. There is a stuff called "torque strike" that we put on aircraft nuts and bolts to see if they moved between inspections.

 

A drain and fill is only a few quarts .
