Well after the past few years of only having the Nitro Gear option for the late model 8.75 inch rear end . We have been privileged to add another gear to the line up. We have spent the last few months testing the gear to assure it meets the demands and can satisfy our (you) client base. On a few test vehicles we have logged on and Offroad miles with no issues.

We at www.rogue-offroad.com now offer REM polishing on the Yukon and Nitro gears .

In tests we have seen that the Yukon have been less susceptible to noise when installled . While Nitro is and has been our number 1 choice it’s great to have options now.

While these have been out for a few months we had to make sure we could back the product before offering it to our customers.

    How about a 4.56 option?

From testing that we did with nitro back in 2016 4.56 is pointless and doesn’t make much of a difference . It was one of our biggest arguments and bets that I lost .
I had insisted that 4.88 wasn’t the ratio and that 4.56 would be better . After I had tried the Manual 4.30 I knew I was wrong. Once I got the 4.88s that was the ideal ratio . We have been outfitting stock Tacoma’s for one of our dealerships locally .

I would say a 5.+ gear will be available long before any manufacture produces a 4.56 . If you consider the 2007+ 10.5in tundra only has a 4.88 option 11years later . I seriously doubt 4.56 will ever come out. At least for a decade. Lol . But I could be wrong. I do know we have plenty of meetings with many gear companies Yukon , Nitro , motive , revolution, g2 and a few others and it’s not planned . Again i could be wrong! But in my professional opinion and years of doing gears I truely believe it’s not a prime choice for these trucks .
