Hey I just bought these 15" aluminum American Racing wheels thinking they would bolt right on. https://www.amazon.com/American-Racing-Custom-Wheels-5x114-3mm/dp/B00R943I8G/

I even got the concentric adapter rings for them. Turns out they don't clear the brake calipers. I didn't think that would be a problem, since the backspacing is so much lower than stock. But, I guess the aluminum is just that much thicker than the steel wheels. I guess the only option is to return them or find spacers. Can anyone recommend the best kind of spacers to run considering that these wheels are already going to push me out about 2" more than stock? I don't think I would need more than about 1/2" or so of room to clear the brakes. I was thinking something that was more of a just a shim with pass through holes for the lugs might be better than the fat spacers with new lug bolts in them. Do those exist and would there still be enough threads on the lugs for the nuts? Thanks.

Yeah I think thats the problem with 15” rims is that some fit and some dont depending on design, thats why alot of guys go with 16 or 17” rims

Also they make little thin 1/4” spacer, ive seen them at orileys, pretty sure i might have a set laying around... anything bigger then idk. I run sixtyauto wheel spacers and they haven’t failed me yet and are pretty good quality. Not hub centric though...

If you ever end up painting.. Make sure to buy the "Lamb" skin rolls. About $12 each but will make the job so easy.. And one time only along with the Paint-Primer in one.. No mess.. One shot.. Done lol

I don't see how larger rims would help. It's the front of the calipers, not the outside diameter that's the problem.

Anyway, does anyone know of aluminum rims that fit in 15 or 16 inch?

    Finally got my aluminum
I finally got these wheels to fit by putting 1" wheel spacers on the front. They stick out pretty far now, but overall I'm pretty happy with the result. Wheels and tires off Amazon were the same price as just the tires from a local tire shop. Not only do the aluminum wheels look cool and ride nice, I appear to have a gotten a couple of miles per gallon back over my steelies with the same size tires.
