Well, folks. I am an idiot. I had a perfectly good working ELocker harness (same as pictured above) from 12voltguy, and gave it to the guy who bought my parts truck in return for him digging the factory harness out of the frame. Factory elocker harness from the parts truck didn't end up working. So here I am going back to the aftermarket harness. It's fine though. I like 12voltguy's products and customer service. At some point, I'll see if I can get the factory harness to work. Until then, back to this. Also, the truck is getting some custom a/c lines made, and the whole system will get serviced. Hoping to have A/C by tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

The guy thinks 300-400...assuming the compressor works (knocks on wood).

Needs custom AC lines, a tiny bit of wiring, a new dryer, and a full charge of freon.

I got a full a.c. system packed up in box. It worked good when I took it off my parts truck. Had a guy wanting to buy it but flaked

IMG_0764.jpg Week update. A/C is fixed and is working well. Pretty stoked about that.

Today was devoted to fixing the ELocker. Spent over 10hrs getting it working. What a bummer. Rewired it with the 12V guy harness. Wouldn't work. Tore it apart. Spent many hours fiddling with the actuator (pictured). A few things were up with it, but apparently, the electromagnet was gunked up. Installed and the axle locked...and wouldn't unlock. Fiddled with that for a while, and came to find that the actuator fork was pretty seized (after a year of sitting). Finally got it working. What a PITA.

26F0AB5A-3613-4CF5-9BF9-5F850FCB9B9D.jpg So this happened on my CBI rear bumper. This is the latching bolt that holds the swing out open. Lasted less than a month. They won’t warrantee it. Lame. Next time, I’ll go with pelfreybilt. They seem to have better customer service.

Hence why I’m salty that they want to charge me 26.50 to ship me a new one! It only lasted a month for heavens sake!

Acquired some parts off of a really cool dude on Craigslist today: Tundra 199mm big brake upgrade (with SS lines), and some bigger 4Runner mirrors. Stoked to install them (hopefully) this weekend.

Cool, I saw those, are you going to replace the master cylinder with the 2001 newer type?
I have seen lots of people having trouble with this swap with the early 1st gens with a soft pedal.
Keep me posted, we have the same master cylinder

Excellent, if you do the different master cylinder make a thread for it. The tundra upgrade for the
early tacoma seems to be problematic with the soft pedal from the stock master cylinder 1995-2000 I think.

Got the CBI frame plates installed. Thanks to my friend, Tim (pictured) for welding them in. I also installed some bigger 4Runner mirrors today (hoping to wire them as power mirrors eventually).

Update: the frame plates have made a monumental difference in ride quality. If you have a heavy rear bumper, do yourself a favor and get those plates.
