looks nice guys but car wax only lasts 3 -4 months at most then the paint especially the clear coat is unprotected against the elements . All I need to do for mine is wash it if it needs it , Just good quality car wash soap without wax and that's it

The Ceramic coating is very hydrophobic it's so easy to clean as nothing sticks to the paint ,oh and I never ever have to wax my truck ever again !!!

Wake up, drive for 3 3/4 hours, stop for huevos rancheros at black bear diner, now I’m going to take a nap, then drive for 45 minutes and park till 3am then take off down the hill to deliver, drop the trailer at tank wash, then head home.

I hate cats, they are evil. Maybe not... But I'm still allergic to them. Hope all of you feel better ASAP. Welcome home Andy, hope it turns to the better for you.

    Nice hat

Broke 50 for the first time in 6 months. Hell it is 59. Windows open airing out the house and should put on a lighter weight shirt. Saw people in town with shorts and T Shirts. A few had jackets on. Wait those are called visitors.

Smelling and sounds good around here. Fresh air, birds making a racket, and cherry wood smoke.

Smell of pork and smoke must be drifting into every neighbors house for a long ways around here too. I think of it as my neighborhood contribution. Until the chainsaw and leaf blower next weekend.

Do they claim any certain thickness the ceramic coating is?

Well back home and all the chores are done. We spent a little extra time cleaning nd organizing the camper since this was our first run for the year. We had an ecceptional weekend, the skies were clear, days were warm, and nights were cold. God knows we had enough to eat. This started as just a camping trip for John and I but we couldn't resist trying to get a couple more local 50's together and have some fun. @dewayne comitted to coming only if there was bacon so I made a special point to get some good salted pepper bacon from the meet cutter in town

@PyritePirateBill has alot going on getting ready for vacation but thankfully was able to shake loose for a while thank goodness and we enjoyed him being there. Great trucks, great folks, and great food. Dewayne brought us pulled pork BBQ, coleslaw, baked beans, deer balogna, some home made special sauces, and Christie made the mac n cheese, or as we called it the cheese and mac as there was more cheese than noodles. John brought his better half Jeanette, great to meet her finally. It was a great time and a relaxing weekend.

    and good time

Crap now I have to do all this again in my camping thread, oh well. After speaking with Bill and Dewayne I may try, with a little help, to have a get together with all the local 50's within a reasonable distance later in the summer. I wish you all could have been there it was truly the best weekend I've had in quite a while.

    parting thought @Cypherian

A typical clear coat on a vehicle is 34-45 microns thick , the Ceramic coating adds an additional 5-10 microns to further protect the paint and clear coat

One coat of ceramic coating is 5-10 microns and is basically what you get for a 1 yr application

So my 2 yr application is microns or two layers of ceramic coating is 20 microns

Next step up is a five year coating or 5 layers thick and the top of the line lifetime or 10 year coating in 10 layers thick

Just for example a typical hand or machine wax application is only 0.02 microns thick
