Did 14 miles yesterday on a rail trail with a friend. He got me back into riding bikes a few years ago.We would do at least 70-80 every week after work.He ended up putting some weight back on and then backing off.Been pushing him this year to get back out.
So today he wanted to go again.Just hope he doesn't burn himself out.But we are going!

Hope you have a good ride. Now that the weather is finally breaking, I'll be out there much more enjoying the rides.

We had a good ride,we did 20 today. But apparently someone has switched out my knees from
a person a lot older! But it's gonna be raining the next couple days,so they can get a break.
Just glad to get off a stationary bike and outside.

By the way, what bikes do you all ride? I own a Specialized Crosstrail and a Rockhopper.

Rob, I drive cars 2 or 3 days a week for Enterprise Car Rentals Remarketing division. Great part time job delivering cars to dealers or other Remarketing locations.

No nights, no weekends, and no stress, just the way I like it.

Might be something you want to consider when you get to Phoenix. If so, let me know and I will pm you the info you will need.

I'm riding an older Mongoose mountain bike(son gave it to me after he got it out of someone's trash and after I fixed it up been riding it about 5 years now) and the missus has a Diamondback comfort bike. No off roading biking for us. Too many nice trails near us with out doing the extreme stuff like the young'uns do.

Body holds up pretty well with minimal aches:thumbsup:, but then again, Motrin works well after a ride.:D

No aches and pains with that ride Mike :fistbump:

I'm buying a KHS Comfort bike, need to look straight ahead, looking up much messes with my neck. Frost in one of the meadows I jog by this morning, wore gloves of course.
Very windy in Lone Pine, CA last week when I left for our stovie campout in Death Valley. Forecast was waaaaaay off, windy for a couple days and beyond, calmed a little in DV. From freezing temps to 89 in a couple days by going to DV. Where's the shade? Linus had the '35 Gilkie tent trailer, more pics of it in the Off Topic area. Repo dog looking for more shade.

Hmmm, somehow the pics came first even though I submitted them after the message! :notsure:

I did that when I was in college. Live near a Airport. Once I retire I might do that few days a week.

Evening all! Seems like the subject of retirement comes up regularly here. l have thought about it for the last few years (l'm 61),but not sure l want too.l know y'all talk about how you keep busy, but l have seen and heard so many folks retiring and then kind of going downhill. At this point l somewhat pick and choose what jobs l take, but l definitely go with lighter work.l still like to work

That’s my intent is to slow down but I can’t in my business. So when the time is right I have to walk away and start anew. What it boils down to is having to answer to somebody else. I don’t want to have to answer to anyone anymore.l

Years ago it was a respected job. You had control on every aspect of the job.
I had people follow me during my career for over 30 years because of my service , they trusted me, I had no restrictions, I did whatever I wanted, and they stopped coming to me because I couldn’t handle things my way.
