Thought I’d share a little trick I’ve been doing for some time. I got tired of buying those “Little Tree” air fresheners that last about a day and started making my own. I saw the idea on a YouTube video. Take a few of those scented wax melts and drop them in a mason jar. Poke some holes in the top and that’s it. The heat of the day will melt them and fill your ride with a great aroma. Take advantage of one or two of our trucks hundred cup holders and set it and forget it. It last a long time. I put one in each rear door. Only catch is it doesn’t work to well in the winter, but for the summer, it’s the bomb.

I signed up for this last month: https://gentscents.com. Started with cedar, its pretty fuckin nice, probably give sandalwood a try next. They're cool cause they're "manly" scents, made of wood not cheap garbage, and easy enough to put wherever.

Gonna have to give this a try. I have tried several air fresheners, and none of them last.

how long do these things last? I have seen ads for them around social media and they look a lot nicer than most other air freshners but I was kind of worried about how long they actually last.

They seem to have gone down in strength and longevity in the last few months, but if you hit them with a little sandpaper they come back, heat seems to bring the oils back up too. The scents are pretty nice tho. I've been rocking cedar and sandalwood, bay rum was nasty though, threw that one away immediately

I like the idea of the gentscents and the jar with wax melts. Need to give both a try.

I saw car air freshener ads on FB for both gent scents and another one Air Out There. TBH I thought they were both pretty good. Gent scents is definitely a more woody/premium vibe. Air Out There is cool if you're into the classic car air freshener but with an adventure vibe. They seem to be popular in the overlanding scene.

After aa year of use, I'm still using them. I've since gone to a 2 scent a month. Typically one of the cedar and one of their scents of the month. My truck always smells fanfuckintastic

I'm giving this a try and it is working well. I wanted a scent that wasn't too feminine and one of the scents I bought was leather. Jury is still out on the scent but the concept is working great.

I'm a fan of the spray stuff you can buy and I spray under the mats, on the carpet, under the seats and spray the hell out of the cabin filter.
