Yeah that wouldn’t be too expensive at all! You wouldn’t need anything bigger than 1/4” anyways.

So far so good! I want to get the front dialed in also, but I'll wait for a bit till things settle. @Blackout14 says 1 inch.
Basically yeah, just guess. The height is already determined because they sit on top of the frame. Side to side was more like, uhhhhh yup this looks good! The bottom mounts on the axle took some thinking. I am getting the most travel out if these shocks that I can. In that one pic from the passenger side, I was still an inch away from the drivers bumpstop, with a few inches of shaft left.

I use em as steps all the time! Maybe not now though since my ass end is quite a bit higher. I'm fat and cant get my leg up that high anymore.

Just greased all my shit up with Lithium Teflon spray... see how the dackers sound now after a quick test drive. Usually this stuff is good until you wash your truck then it’s out of there and sweaking again in 1 dayb

I watched a dude pry open the leaves and insert bicycle tubing rubber. Leaves were still on the truck.

Since the Lairs inception, we have averaged 121.21 posts per day (6 pages), and @ChadsPride is averaging 232.52 posts per day (11.5 pages ).

Was just curious and thought I'd share the numbers.

It was damn near impossible! But it's since chilled a lot and is more manageable.

Your thread has really REALLY taken off!

I've seen the disc bolted to the rear mounted spare tire to save room.

    Then there's this

    https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.c...-runner-spare-tire-mount-braai-bbq-grate.html

Of course this is for a wood fire, not propane. But that would be an easy fix.

That's a great idea actually! I've seen that before, but didn't even think to adapt that to the DIY skottle. Totally going to remember that.

Yea, the disc I saw on the spare was on a truck in this forum somewhere. Just a way to maximize the space required to transport one. I believe the legs were attached to the swingout.

Not sure if you seen this, might be a exactly what you're looking to do

Boot Slide mod. No more blowing cv boots.
Possibly pretty much the same thing and then some...
High Angle Inner CV Boot with Boot Slide Mod
