So I just got a 2018 Tacoma. It has 245/75r16 tires on it and stock wheels. All of the wheels I've found that I like are 16x8 and the stock ones are 16x7. The tires are brand new. I don't want to replace them at this time. I'm trying to figure out a proper offset so I can use the same tires on a 16x8 wheel. Looking for a nice clean look with no potential of extra ware and tear on the tire or adverse effect on the truck in any way. As my name implies I'm new to all of this. Any information would be much appreciated.

245/75r16 will fit fine on a 16x8 wheel. Mine are 16x8 et0 with the stock tires on them and they fit perfectly.

I will eventually get more aggresive looking tires but stick with the 16s it makes the look of the Tacoma.

    Not possible...

That said, you'll need a +12mm offset or less to maintain backspace(suspension clearance).

    What are your future plans?

Right now the only plans I have are getting the new rims. I'm happy with everything else. Just trying to make sure everything will fit right.

Your future plans may be something like 285 wide tires and a lift..... if you were to do something like that, you may want a different offset to minimize rub. That's why people are asking what your future plans are.....

If your plans are to just put some ATs in a stock size and drive it, then a factory spec'd wheel will be fine.

I gotcha. I may add a small lift to in the future. At that time I would probably be replacing the tires as well. Right now only plans are for better rims then stock. Want to get use out of the stock tires and everything before I think about getting new ones. So in the future it would be a few inch lift same rims and new tires when that time comes.
