Finally found some time to work on my favorite customers truck. Installed a stoptech 6 piston big brake kit and swapped out some worn out wheel bearings

 

Last nights work was a quick exhaust on a 1961 chevy pick up

 

Clean install!

 

May need some more work done soon...wanting to get my spindles gusseted and cam tabs as well.

 

Sounds good.

 

Do it sooner than later. I bent my spindle going down an easy part of white mountain.

Best upgrade you can do for the money.

A little project I’ve been working on in my spare time for another TW member. Over the last few years I’ve had multiple people contact me about building a simple single tube rear prerunner style bumper, lately I’ve been making the spare time to get going on one. I will offer it in a few different styles with various options and price points.

Dude those zip ties are a great idea...smash it and just cut the zip ties and zip tie a new bar on, serviceability is a key attribute of a great fabricator

 

Wait till I put the heavy duty zip ties on it.

 

Are you planning to cut the bedside/fenders to match the bumper? I really like how simple and uncluttered that looks.

 

It’s not for my truck, but yeah the plan is to cut the bedsides to match. I may try to come up sit a set of plates that for the stock bed profile as well.

Can you build me a single tube bumper that will carry a 35" spare, 7 rotopaks, a camp table, a back up camera, trailer hitch and a bike rack ?

 

I’ve got you on everything but the bike, Jay. I just looked at the pics you posted from your last ride and I don’t think the truck is wide enough to accommodate you’re bike. Is this still the same one you’re riding?
