First time poster in this thread. Got the truck out on my day off to finally do some sort of offroading. Found an old gravel road and some rocks on the side of the road to try out. I've noticed that though the ride may be a little rough on the TRD Sport, it's a perfectly capable off road truck. I have no doubts it'll get me anywhere I need to go. Got some good flex out of the stock suspension and out a nice scar in my stock skid plate. On a more serious note, what should I do about the scrape? I just FF. Should I wipe off and repaint or just spray more fluid film to keep it from rusting?

The convex on the GMC is heated. And before you say it, doesn't matter how off-center my steering wheel is, it still defrosts!

I've never found it to be true, but I usually don't hunt them much past 11AM

If you aren't in a blind you have to be certain to be absolutely still, because literally ANY movement and they'll bolt. They're on high alert in the spring, and mindless idiots the rest of the year.

That's next. I blame @BigMacMcCoy for showing me the plates he just picked up and giving me the itch to upgrade.

Spring season in MA is sunrise to 12 noon so I won't hunt late either so I will be looking for them coming down from roost. I might try a blind this year if I have no success earlier but we plan to hunt a few different spots this year with less pressure and see what happens. I'm sure I can still use some practice calling too. Hard to tell when I call too much, not enough or just poorly haha.

Welcome. Just sand off the rust and spray paint. Or just ignore it since it's underneath and you can't really see it anyways

I'll take that blame! I still need to wire wheel mine and touch up the paint before mounting. I wish I had done Skids and Sliders first, instead of the bumper haha.

I also wish I had jumped straight to 35s rather than 265/75/16s, but that's not too reasonable haha.

the itch will never stop! keep telling myself I am done and that simply is never true. I just keep adding to the project list. First things to get done soon are servicing the diffs, trans cooler upgrade, trans flush, bed lights, wheels/tires then some stuff for the travel trailer, then back to w/e is left in the parts pile for the truck

Seems like timing is more important than quality, because my mouth call sounds more like somebody strangling a goose than a horny hen, and they still wandered in front of me last season, lol. I'm much better with a box call than a mouth call, that's for sure.

That's the one! We have a weiner mix so my wife loves that thing, and we have to drive by it everyday so we get plenty of fun out of that thing.

My convex part defrosted too, must be the older ones didn't? Anyways, that's one of the things I wish I could have ripped off my ford and brough on my taco, the mirrors are great and the convex part makes towing so much nicer.

I looked at installing the bed lights, between the price of the lights themselves and the wiring work I quickly lost interest in them. I bought two of these and some velcro and it's been great, only cost like $30 total. Yes it is a cheap way to do it, but no one is looking under my tonneau cover and it only took me 10 minutes.

I took that in North Adams, don't know if that's where it usually is or not. Despite living right next to there, I rarely drive through anything but the outskirts to get home.

Yeah, stupid, stupid birds. But great eyesight and good instincts.

The amazing thing is, I've seen one get shot at, get missed completely, and after walking in a circle he kept coming. The trick is not to move (other than to work the action) if you miss. A lot of times they don't put the 'big noise' and 'narrowly dodging death' together unless you whack them with a stray pellet.

There is actually a dog museum that owns it, which is located directly to the right of where you took that photo in the building right on the corner. I've never been and it is newer...I want to go but it looks sorta weird? My wife said it's some guy who loves dogs and has tons of dog memorabilia type shit and wants to show people.

Those work on 3rd gen? Look pretty good.

Looks as good as new. Everyone should get one of these spray can adapters. They are $7 at Lowe's.
