Yup, ideally. We had it that way for a long time but too many people complained of not being able to get the bolt installed so we changed it to this way for easy of installation.

I don’t think it’s an issue, but I’m not 100% familiar with Pelfreybilt skids. Worst case, just buy our skids, they definitely work with our sliders.

If not I can take pics of my truck tomorrow. I have a full set of pelfreyskids and midtown sliders. Modified the Pelfrey tcase skid to work with the sliders.

The attachment to the cross member I'm almost sure is not an issue. What's likely to be an issue is with the transfer case skid and our c-clamp style attachment system. Some t-case skids mounts interfere with our sliders.

Gotcha. I already got the Pelfreybuilt skids and am dead set on y'all's sliders. I'll just have to make it work!

I'd recommend zip-tying a bit of cloth to the end of those handles, btw. The handles will clank around on bumps otherwise, sounds bad even though it doesn't mean anything.

I haven't had this issue at all. Once i got the nut started, I just let the handle ride up against the top of the frame (bottom on the opposite side) and tightened the heck out of the nut. Hasn't rattled at all in the 3 years I've had them on.

Maybe I need to graunch down on mine some more, because I've definitely heard the handles rattling against the frame over a few bumps.

I got under mine to see and on the passenger side I can kinda rattle it side to side, not up and down. Maybe I just need to get it even tighter so it's too jammed up to flex side to side.

Let it spin up (or down depending whether it's the passenger or driver side) and wedge itself against the top (or bottom) of the inside of the frame.

Apparently I started a thread covering this as well... but new pics are good too.
