    Picture overload!!!

Finishing up the tape job before the cutting begins:
    20180224_143322.jpg

Not perfect but this was just the baseline since our plan was to cut low and then bring it up with a flap wheel:
    20180224_143450.jpg

    No turning back:
    20180224_150605.jpg

    Done for now:
    20180224_153220.jpg

    And onto the other side:
    20180224_154543.jpg

By the time we got done cleaning up our cuts and test fitting the bumper we found that we were about 3/4" off. Sun was going down and living in a condo complex there was no way I could use the angle grinder at night (lighting isn't the best in my garage either).

The next day we decided to finish the job at my workplace parking garage.

Here the bedsides have already been cut another 3/4" and are being cleaned up with the flap wheel:

    20180225_103929.jpg

    Ready for the bumper:

Bumper is finally on (shoutout to the wifey for helping maneuver the floor jack. She says I never give her credit for helping...well here you go...haha):

My niece wondering what's taking so long:
    20180225_124542.jpg

This pic will have to do for now. As always, pressed for time and was just glad that the install went fairly smooth:
    20180225_125424.jpg

Thanks again to my bro in law (@nihkon) for driving down to help with this installation. Oh and @Okiyota for the info on how you cut your bedsides (although we ended up taking a different approach, you're advice was very useful).

Which CBI bumper did you recently install? I didn’t see it on their page. I just saw the one with the kick ups on it.

CBI Bushmaster 1.0...probably the same one you saw. I asked them to make mine without the kick ups.

Hey Davey, truck's coming along bro. I'm digging the ditch lights. Question, why no kick ups? Was the cost less? I thought you were looking to get something for your spare

    Dave,
Did you get another front bumper?
    Lights look good.

Thanks! I liked the look of it without the side tube protection (same price though). I actually have my spare in the bed and will fab some sort of bed rack for it. I don't really like the look of a spare on a swingout unless I have the softopper on full time. Plus, the truck barely fits in my garage as is...lol.

Nope, same one you, your dad and Jason helped me with.

Thanks man, looking forward to testing them out during a night run (after they're wired that is)!!!

    What's going on with Jason's 4runner?

I wasn't leading but I'm pretty sure we were closer to the border line (at one point we were right at the barbed wire fence). The trail head was just northeast of Jacumba Hot Springs.
    DO IT!!!:headbang:
