Works out for me to pay the bills and work from home, the deliveries make it before she gets home and usually take a while to notice something new.

^Link to the original thread that has a great write-up on how to do it. It lacks a lot in the area of taking the main unit apart but it's pretty self-explanatory. Just remove any screw you see until you get to the LCH and RCH. I bought a different 1/8" jack because the one they used originally is from radioshack and can't find it easily. The one I got is actually easier to use and doesn't require more soldering so you only have to solder twice instead of five times. Let me know if you want more details on the parts I used exactly. I went a little astray from the post has because it's been 7 years.

It also sounds/looks more intimidating than it is. Hard to break anything as long as you are decently careful. Not too many fragile parts.

I posted in that thread too with the spot I used for grounding compared to everyone else since my wire was shorter and a couple other notes.

I took off the rear emblems as well. I also carbon wrapped the two leer logos on the side. I'm glad im not the only one who's paint chipped off the rear handle. Also, really dig those lights. Can't seem to figure out how to fix my stock light.

So question for folks: I put on new suspension and wheel/tires (265/70R17). After everything was installed, I could hear the tires rubbing when I am at full lock and reversing. This appeared to be rubbing against the cab-side (rather than the front). I removed the mudflaps and that seemed to do the trick about 95% of the time (weird, I know). My question is: to avoid having to trim anything further, would wheel spacers be an option or what should I be looking at doing? I guess the idea is if I move the tires out a touch, it might clear the corner.

Thank you. My fm transmitter quit about 2 weeks ago and I can't stand all the stations playing the same songs every hour.

    What wheels are you running?

I'm running 265/70/17 on stock Sport rims with zero rubbing and mudgaurds on. I also had these tires on my Trail rims for a little while. No rubbing with them either.

    Sport rim specs:

    17x7.5
    30 mm offset
    4.25" back spacing

    20180421_142821.jpg

    Trail rim specs

    17x7.5
    15 mm offset
    4.25" back spacing

Question: why do people only do breather relocation on the rear axle and not on the front or the transmission (if it even has one)

Front does have one. It is located in the engine bay, up high. The rear is low. That is the reason for the relocate.
    Cheap insurance.
