Planning on lifting my 2wd 2016 sr5. Was only thinking about doing like a 3inch lift with like 32-33 inch tires. I really like how smooth it rides and im afraid of messing that up with a lift. I do not plan on taking it off road mainly just for looks. I live in south Florida and there its not much down her but sand. Is it worth it? What are some recommended lifts/brands to keep a really smooth street ride? New to lifting trucks and do not know much about it.

I'm different than a lot of folks around.

For mechanical aspects, function 1st, and if looks follow, fine.

Function to me means changing mechanical bits to perform better than it does now for how I use a vehicle 80% of the time.

Seems what you are considering won't gain any functionality for how you use the truck, it will cost a decent chunk of change to do it right, and it will cost more to maintain in the long run, regardless of what others will line up and claim.

You asked for opinions, I just gave mine.

(Others will be along soon to give 180* view)

    2WD?
Spindle lift. They run about 3.5" of lift.

I'll be watching this close. Im in the same boat (kind of). Curious why does everyone recommend spindle lifts if you have a 2wd?

Spindle lift keeps the stock suspension. No preloading or insane spring weight/length; rides factory.
You gain a lot of clearance, especially under the LCA.
    All pros, no cons.

Just put a set of decent shocks on it and some 32's and call it a day. They'll fit with no lift

This is what I was looking at

Would you think a spindle lift will make much more of a difference?
