I just bought this truck a few days ago and about yesterday as I was driving it, I heard a ticking/puffing noise coming from where the air recycler is. We looked inside and saw that when it lifts up, it will get to a certain point and not go any further from what we saw. Don't know what exactly is making it do that but any info helps.

Do you mean the recirculater door on the HVAC system? If so, there maybe crap preventing the door from moving fully. You may be able to see with a mirror if you remove the fan motor under the system by the passenger floor.

There is a write up on this some where here. The gear inside of the recirculater door motor is stripped. If you take it apart and rotate the gear 180 degrees you should be fine. i had to do this to mine and it fixed it.
    Good luck.
