    Not sure

I thought the benefit of the blower was that it builds boost quicker? 3k seems late. Or are you just saying that's where peak power is made?

    Welcome! Clean truck!

Tightening this bushing eliminated the play I had in my rack. Just something to try before buying a new one if you have play. Curious if doing this would have fixed my original with 240k on it.

I should do this this weekend and see what happens. I have a bunch of slop and it has about 265,000 on it.

Nah that's just close to the peak power zone of the 5vzfe. Which is really a torque monster of a motor. Makes like 200ftlbs at 2000 Rpms or something.

It still pulls hard down lower just wakes up at 3k due to the power curve

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
I'm not overly familiar with the internals of the steering on these trucks but something to watch for when tightening such things is binding when turning sharply. For example, on the 05 F250 I had, the worm gear would wear in the middle faster than out towards the ends so you'd end up with play in the middle and it would tighten when turning. If you tighten up the gears to eliminate the play then it gets too tight when turning... Someone more familiar with our steering can probably tell us if this has the potential for the same issue.

Anyone know of any flatbed builds off the top of their heads? I’ve been searching the last couple of days and have found a lot, just wondering if any of you know of any on or off the site. Specifically utility flatbed, not off road beds or whatever, pictures are a plus.

I had the front of the truck in the air so I was able to feel when it was too tight and backed it off to where it was smooth and easy. I think there is a write up somewhere on TW about rebuilding these. I can't recall his name right now.

That looks really nice. Do you have a picture of the back? The only thing I hate about the average flatbed I see is the giant, low hanging dovetail/bumper thing.... how much do you think it’d cost to have a guy weld something similar?

I asked a guy that’s done some welding for me before and he said 700$ for a basic bed, whatever that means.
