Other than the typical 17 year old car problems? (piss poor radio, missing driver side sun visor, cruise control not working -common on old nissans for some reason, minor leaks - found a hairline crack in power steering reservoir but there is always fluid inside, etc.)

Mechanically its in great condition. I used to commute between SFO and Pittsburg at my last job so I bought that to be my DD but I have since found a new job closer to home so I don't need the Xterra anymore.

Didn't know if I could add the CL link but here it is https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/motivated-2-sell-2001-nissan/6556786809.html

I'll show it to my son. He's looking to get rid of his 89 Toyota pick up. I'll have him get ahold of you if he wants it.

Sounds good, Don! It has been a great SUV. If it was 4x4 I would have probably kept it and never even bought my 3rd gen.

Lol IDK why your quoting threads are a bit weird. I will be available after work (around 6:30PM ish) out in Pittsburg. I am always avail anytime after work.

I'd offer to drive it out to Moraga where I work at and meet during lunch or something but I recently took the Xterra of the insurance policy so I won't be able to drive it too far. Don't want to take the risk.

Oh wow! That's fairly close. Yeah that hwy 4 backway doesn't really have much traffic around that time.

On a side note too - I am looking to get rid of it before mid may or else I need to put it on Non-Op because big brother has been watching and noticed it doesn't have insurance. Title in hand and is ready for whomever buys it. I will smog once confirmed with buyer. Didn't want to smog and then a month goes by and have to smog again!

Good deal. He's at work. I sent a link to your ad and he wants to take a look. If he buys it, it'll be out of your driveway as soon as you smog it. Lol..

What’s he looking to sell the 89 for? Been looking to get a beater pickup for dump runs/moving furniture since the tundra is gone.

just read the last posts about the rigs you guys are selling. i will more than likely be in the market for another vehicle. will need to get another daily for myself to get to the academy and back (only about 5 miles round trip). and then the 1 hour trip from bakersfield to visalia every weekend or so. will know my budget some time next week, but it will be around 2k. so if anybody knows of one, let me know. will need to get it before may 14th academy start date. or on the weekends soon after

If my deal falls thru, my xterra will be up for grabs. It was my commuter car for 120 mile round trip a day for 5 days a week. It's been a solid suv and has been kept up throughout my ownership (I am second owner). I recently changed the spark plugs, newer tires, and newer battery (within the last 8 months). I am also flexible on price. CL its listed at 1700 but on TW I can shell it out for 1500. That'll give you some room in case you wanted to swap out the radio or something else...because to be honest the radio is shit lol

Not enough to have a build thread.
If I was in my new place I'd be all over it.
