    Im trying to figure out how can remote star or what do i need for my 2013 tacoma xsp-x. If anyone got any information thank you.

    You can use nearly any remote start you wish. I recommend Viper or Compustar.

    Regardless of which one you choose, your truck will need a bypass unit...Usually a Viper
    $59 DBALL2 Databus All Combo Bypass Module
    DBALL2, or Compustar's BLADE-AL.

    You can PM me if you'd like more guidance, as I've helped out many guys here with their remote starts.

    It's a never ending $100-$200 a week thing & still going.
    ^^^ same brand I got. Purchased off Amazon and got the pre wired for the truck. Literally just 6 or 8 wires to hook up and a few plugs for the ignition harness. It works great for me.

    The kit I got was prewired for the Tacoma and came with a bypass as well. If I recall it was right at $300.

    I used the same kit for my 2015. no cutting wires and it has excellent wiring instruction with the wires on the unit marked. It gets really long range service.

    This. Not to mention we warranty our work.. And we use much better systems. Get a Compustar one way installed for $299, then upgrade the remote to a 2-way later if you want. Best way to go.

    Sorry to piggyback off OP’s post, but seems to be lots of knowledgeable people in here... I’m wanting to switch from plain key with fob, to an all in one key if possible. Along with doing this, I would like to program the “extra” button as the button the makes the autostart function.

    Is this even possible?

    It is possible- albeit more difficult if you don't have an aftermarket remote start already. With that said, before you buy the key you'll need to know the correct FCC ID, then bring it to a locksmith who can not only cut it, but also program it. You can use Techstream, but the average user won't be able to navigate and find the correct area needed.

    You can also bring it to the dealer, but make sure you bring lube- cause they sure as hell don't use it when bending you over!

    I don't think you're gonna be able to find a 4 button all in one key with the correct chip to start the truck and the correct FCC id to do the keyless entry.
