Yup you are definitely making a simple function overly complicated... Maybe you should try installing the blower first

Good AFR's. Need to have an estimate power level. @Roostfactor just had a datalog done with the 2.6. He could chime in with some insight. However, his is non boost referenced I believe.

Hey guys. Once again, I am here looking for advice and since I am 10 for 10 when asking here, figured I would ask again. I have a 2014 Taco with the TRD supercharger setup directly from the dealership. I have been reading that the TRD intake system that comes with the supercharger kit sucks, is this true or false?

If I should upgrade my intake system, which one do you guys recommend? The truck is currently stock besides the TRD supercharger, nothing has been changed since it left the Toyota Dealership.

Either Afe stage 2 si or urd true cold air intake. If you go the afe route and you drive in very dusty conditions I recommend buying a Volant 61515 air filter, it is made by donaldson and is a high quality filter.

I understand. Auto anything sells them, might be able to contact @eccracer104 and get a discount?

My take on it though is it’s a small price to pay to protect your motor. Atleast for me seeing how much fine silt gets through the pro dry s filter, I don’t feel comfortable using it.

What's the difference between the URD and Afe? Brand preference?

Do I have to be worried about AFR?

I didn’t get a pic of the actual intake tube but the whole thing was coated in that fine mist of sand. Granted the conditions the filter went through were horrific. Went out to a big sandy desert with 10,000s of people probably more all driving around raising up dust, plus 25+ mph winds.. and I was having some fun too revving the piss out of my truck. Also out there is below sea level so the boost was strong.

No worries about afr. The urd some people report issues with heavy rain bothering the maf, but others have no issues so it’s hard to say. My only complaints with my afe is the filter and it was a bitch to install since the supercharger moves the throttlebody forward a bit, super tight fit but I got it on.

So a lot of people on the forums think a CAI is a waste of money. But with us being F/I, it would benefit us right?
