2018 tacoma green pixel on dash display

Posting for a friend. He recently purchased a 2018 Tacoma Offroad and he has noticed a green pixel on his dash display that is not always present. It is there in the morning for the entirety of his commute (25 mins). When he gets out in the afternoon, it is gone. Cold car, warm, doesnt matter. It seems to be tied to time of day. Not sure if it is a dead or stuck pixel, or if someone else has this same problem.

 

Looks like a bad pixel. You will probably only see it when there is green on the screen (i.e cruise set). All you have to do is decide if it's a big enough issue to allow your local Toyota dealer tear apart your dash and replace it under warranty.

If it were me, I would call it "character" and go on with life. However, it might be worth it to make sure it's noted in your service records in case the screen does fail at some point.

 

Ok, Joe posted this for me .The green dot comes on weather cruise is on or not . Usually it's only a morning issue, but as I was leaving Joe's house last night it was on. Also, on my commute to work this morning it went out . I'll prob bring it to the dealership so they are aware of it.
